About Us

​We are an independently owned boutique heli-skiing operation based in Palmer, Alaska.  Our success is founded on our small size, unique location, and decades of experience helicopter ski guiding in Alaska and around the world. With only eight guests maximum per week, we offer endless options for mountain ranges to ski, ultimate flexibility, built in mobility, and incredible terrain. We cater to our guests' ski ability with terrain ranging from advanced to intermediate. Our beautiful private lodge, gourmet cuisine, welcoming staff and professional operation is focused on safety and delivering the ultimate Alaskan heli-ski experience. We utilize our size, location and experience to deliver the best skiing and more of it - in a private and semi-private setting.

Triple Point Expeditions was founded for a few simple reasons:

• It's all about service.  We want to provide you with the best product possible. You work hard for your time off.  We respect that and allow you to make the most of it.

• We want to provide safe experiences, professional guides, practical skills, and useful information.  Our trips take people into the outdoors to experience nature in its purest forms.  They are authentic by definition and safe by design.

• An appreciation and respect for the natural environment and a desire to take people out to experience it.  We believe in educating people on the environments we share and the protection of the resource we are lucky to explore.

• A desire to share our unending passion for the sports we love. These pursuits are vehicles that allow us to explore the earth, be with our friends and family, and gain insights into the world around us.
• In a fast paced world built around the urban environment, the simplicity and beauty of the wilderness experience is fleeting and ever shrinking.  We allow people to authentically experience the world through the sports they pursue.

We believe in an authentic experience that takes you beyond what you thought was possible. In its simplicity, the triple point of water is the temperature and pressure at which its three phases--liquid, gas, and solid--coexist in thermodynamic equilibrium.  Metaphorically speaking we exist to bring it all together.  This is our life and we would like you to be a part of it.  ​​

Our Story

Founded in 2011, Triple Point Expeditions began with a small idea. How to constantly pursue and share the passions we love: skiing, surfing, kiting and fly fishing.  We have traveled the globe chasing these pursuits and created a business focused on others that share our zest for sport, travel and experiences.  TPX grew from an outdoor guiding platform and prides itself in being service oriented from the very beginning.  The trips evolve, the smiles get bigger, new destinations emerge, and the next adventure calls.  Come join us.

Our global expeditions led us to establish a helicopter ski operation in Palmer, Alaska. Alaska is the pinnacle of skiing and has been the consistent driving force behind much of our business's decision over the years. TPX's Palmer location allows us to focus on our 3 driving principles: location, size and experience.

Triple Point Expeditions was founded by Tucker Patton.  He holds numerous professional certifications including: Avalanche, Firefighter, Haz Mat, High Angle Rescue and Medical credentials. Tucker's diverse work and leadership experience range from Alaska helicopter ski guiding to surf lifeguarding in Fiji.  His passion for surfing, skiing, and fishing have been vehicles for exploring the world and led him to found Triple Point Expeditions.  Tucker has been a featured skier, surfer, kite surfer and fly fisherman in numerous movies, magazines, and marketing materials.  He loves his job and looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm with you.  ​
