Logistics Padang: Western Sumatra West Sumatra is situated almost directly on the equator. The Ratu Motu’s travels in this region will take you to various groups of islands, the Mentawai Islands , the Telo Islands, Nias and the Banyaks and the coast line of Banda Ache, all of which are located off the West Coast of Sumatra. The region provides an unmatched water paradise with empty beaches, dive spots, and fishing.
Getting Here West Sumatra charter passengers fly into Padang (PDG) via Jakarta (on Garuda, Lion Air or Tiger Air), Kuala Lumpur (on Air Asia) or Batam (on Citilink). Upon arrival in Padang, the ground crew will be waiting for you and arrange luggage collection on your behalf and escort you to an air conditioned mini van or vehicle (depending on group numbers arriving at any one time). As we prefer afternoon arrival, the transfer is direct to the Harbour where after about an hour's drive through the region (subject to traffic) you will be welcomed aboard Ratu Motu.
Depending upon your port of embarkation, the main airport of West Sumatra (PDG – Minangkabau International Padang) can be accessed through hubs of Malaysia, Jakarta and Denpasar and are served by a number of domestic, international and charter airlines including Air Asia, Jetstar, Lion Air, Merparti Airlines, and Sriwijaya Airlines. Guests are greeted by Ratu Motu representatives at the airport and escorted to either a waiting speedboat for a short ride to the vessel or directly to their hotel if staying overnight.
All visitors to Indonesia must possess a valid passport and return air ticket. A 30-day tourist visa must be purchased upon arrival at a cost of US$25.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE INFORMATION Charter Embarkation: Day 1 at 2:30 pm from Padang harbor. A Ratu Motu representative will bring guests to the Ratu Motu, which is anchored in the Padang harbor, via a private vehicle transfer.
Charter Disembarkation: Final day of cruise at 10:00 am at Padang harbor, followed by a private vehicle transfer to your hotel or the Padang International Airport if you are departing the same day.
Visa Info As of March 2004, nationals of the United States, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Brazil, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Finland, Hungary, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Norway, France, Poland, Switzerland, New Zealand, and Taiwan must pay $USD25 for an entry visa on arrival in Indonesia for a 30-day tourist Visa. This is done at the airport counter prior to immigration clearance.
