Tom Willmott

Tom is an Internationally experienced (20 years) heliski guide with a passion for helping clients achieve optimal experience with a focus on safety. Tom is an expert in Professional-Judgment and Decision-Making, has written multiple book chapters and academic research papers and has consulted with various organizations on why we and how we make the decisions we do. The first person to qualify through the NZMGA Ski Guide pathway on a snowboard, Tom holds Avalanche Safety Management level 6, a current Pre-Hospital First Aid certificate and a current helicopter loading certificate. Tom is the Head Coach of Snowsports New Zealand's Park & Pipe programme which has recently achieved gold medal success at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
